CODE U: Register to Vote
The stakes are high in the upcoming mid-term elections. The right to vote and have your voice heard is on the ballot. As union leaders, it is our obligation to make sure that each and every union member is registered to vote. The deadline to register is October 18.
There are three ways to register to vote in New Jersey: online, in-person and by mail.
Online: Complete online form through any computer, tablet or smart phone.
In-person: At all motor vehicle commission or county election offices.
By mail: Download, print, complete form and deposit in mailbox. No postage needed.
Visit www.njunionstrong.org to register to vote and more.
Attached please find a sample CODE-U messaging for your use. We encourage you, under your signature and union banner, to broadly share, send, text, tweet and post on your union’s social media pages through this planned and coordinated initiative. Please contact John Shea, COPE Director, at cope@njaflcio.org or 609-989-8730 with any questions.
