Nepil & Shafer Tree Memorial - A Lasting Tribute

On Thursday, June 25th, 2015, the North Bergen High School (NBHS) staff held a memorial in remembrance of Edward Nepil, Jr. and William Shafer, both NBHS teachers who passed away this school year. Justin Perrin, a NBHS History teacher, led the ceremony by an opening speech and then placing engraved plaques next to each corresponding tree. Faculty members gathered and reminisced about both teachers and how they both will never be forgotten by their fellow colleagues.

In planting a tree, one is giving the gift of life back to the earth. Both trees are a most honorable and appropriate gift of remembrance.
